Notes
New Belgium's Fat Tire Amber Ale was a highly regarded example of the American amber ale style. This recipe is based on a clone recipe published in BYO magazine. New Belgium replaced this beer with Fat Tire Ale in 2023.
The original recipe was modified to be slightly darker by adding 1% chocolate malt to the grain bill.
Suggested yeast choices are Wyeast 1792 (Fat Tire ale), Wyeast 1272 (American Ale II), or White Labs WLP051 (California Ale V).
