This do-it-yourself calculator is for customized results from user entered values. For grains or sugars, enter the names and specific gravity values. For hops, enter the name and the alpha acid percentages. The values can come from your ingredient documentation or from online sources. Check out BYO's grain and hop resources or the grain database from BrewUnited.

A creative possibility is that the html source code can be edited to insert your own grain and hop values. The "value" fields of the form could be changed from generic values like "base malt" to customized values like "pilsner" or whatever you desire. The resulting customized page can be shared with others given the open license for this software.
